If we had to choose one word to describe the new Wessex Haven it would be ‘tranquil’. As soon as you step through the door of the grade II listed 18th Century house you feel at home. With warm neutral colours used throughout the building, every room appears to effortlessly flow into one another.
Every aspect of the house has been carefully considered to provide the most relaxed atmosphere possible. Having previously been a private house, tearooms and a shop, the interior has been completely renovated to provide a light, bright, homely environment. Certain characteristics and original features have remained in the building, one of our favourites has be to minstrel gallery, which a gentle reminder of the history and keeps with rustic charm of the building.
At the back of the building the light conservatory space leads out onto a garden area which has been developed using the plants from the award winning Haven Garden created for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2015. With the gentle sound of trickling water from the water features, this garden area is a great extension of the relaxing atmosphere created within the house itself.
